Russia had a large win over Serbia 92-72, establishing control with a great scoring effort in the second quarter; France, led by Laurie Datchy, had a great finish to eliminate Lithuania despite a double-double performance of Giedre Paugaite. Liberty stronger in the overtime...

The Liberty experienced another overtime while traveling to Connecticut but this time it turned out at their advantage as they won the game 74-82. This win is quite logical as Liberty were leading most part of the game. But the hosts being down by 13pts with 4 minutes left in the last quarter, had Renee Montgomery to score 12pts included a crucial three-pointer with 4.2 seconds left to force the overtime. But due to many turnovers accumulated, the Sun couldn't stop the Liberty.

The Sparks had a very tough game while hosting Tulsa as they needed an overtime to defeat them 86-83. Indeed, after quite a balanced first half Los Angeles managed to get a comfortable advantage at the end of the third quarter. But Tulsa made a great scoring effort in the last 10 minutes to force an overtime. Seattle extended their winning streak to 10 by defeating San Antonio on their home court 74-80. Still, the win wasn't easy to get as the hosts were leading by 10pts with 3:14 left in the third quarter, but Seattle had a good team reaction and managed to close the gap to 57-55 by the end of the period. Then, they established control in the last quarter thanks to a strong defence and three-pointers hit by Jackson, Bird and Willingham.
